From the hip King's Road to Kensington Palace, Chelsea is synonymous with relaxed glamour. Its title as the country's most affluent borough is evident in its luxurious properties, exclusive boutiques and restaurants.
King's Road remains the major artery through Chelsea and a very busy road, and despite its continuing reputation as a shopping mecca, it is now home to many of the same shops found on any other British high streets.
In the evening Chelsea's cultural cache comes to the fore with a wide range of cinemas, from independent and European film to mainstream while theatres offer everything from an open air operatic extravaganza to an intimate setting for discovering new talent.
The most desirable part of Chelsea is around Sloane Square and Knightsbridge tube. Much of Chelsea is now viewed as a "Global Ultra Prime Residential Area".
