Marylebone's fine architecture fronts elegant homes luxuriously decorated. It feels more like a village than an affluent conurbation housing some of the most famous streets in London from Wimpole Street to Bentinck Street and Marylebone Lane. Proud of its history and heritage Marylebone has been home to literary and popular stars including Paul McCartney, Charles Dickens and Edward Gibbon. Indeed musicians have always made their name in Marylebone with the Apple headquarters located there as well as a famous music store on the high street. For tourists the district is home to Madame Tussaud's, Marble Arch and Selfridges.
