St John's Wood
Expensive Villas rather than terraces line the streets of St John's Wood, making it one of the most eye-catching areas of London. Like Marylebone it's a name synonymous with music with the famous Abbey Road studios here, along with Paul McCartney's home, Keith Woods, Lily Allen and Nigel Kennedy all having lived here at one point in time. Perhaps it’s the twenties style of the architecture, or even that St John's Wood is home to Lord's Cricket Ground but the district has a definite vintage feel. It has a strong cultural identity led largely by a community presence passionate about protecting its conservation status.
